DESCRIPTION:Vicarious trauma and self care: How to keep yourself strong and balanced in the work\nThis session will focus on learning to identify and manage the signs of stress and vicarious trauma when working in the community sector. A misunderstanding of Aboriginal mobility can seriously impact our work and outcomes for the people we are working with. Gaining a better understanding and recognition of Aboriginal mobility and mobility patterns will inform and strengthen our practice and the outcomes for the people we are working with.\nDate and Time: Tue, 14 March 2:30pm – 5pm\nCost Per Person: $199($150 if you book into more than one workshop)\n \nCase Notes and File Record Keeping\nIn this practical, discussion – based workshop, we will explore the purpose of case notes and documentation. Density of people is significant, but only one factor in assessing residential stress. In this session we will gain an understanding of the different kinds of household stress factors to consider in our work and decision making.\nDate and Time: Wed, 15 March 2pm – 5pm\nCost Per Person: $199($150 if you book into more than one workshop)\n \nSupervision\nThis session will cover the purpose, principles, and practice of supervision.
