DESCRIPTION:\nRegistrations are now open for the Central Australian Suicide Prevention Forum 2025. The forum will bring people together to share learnings and discuss how we can work towards reducing suicide in our communities.\nThe event will be held at Alice Springs Desert Park in the Red Mulga Centre room, on:\n Day 1 – Tuesday 17 June 2025 (8:30am-4:00pm)\nDay 2 – Wednesday 18 June 2025 (8:30am-4:30pm)\nRegistration is essential as there are limited places. Register Here ( https://events.humanitix.com/central-australian-suicide-prevention-forum-2025 )\nSuicide Prevention Forum 2025 – Program ( https://youthvoicent.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Suicide-Prevention-Forum-2025-Program.pdf )\n Please note:\nDue to venue capacity the forum has limited numbers. People who attend both days of the forum will be given registration priority. If you can only attend one day you will go on a waiting list. If there are places left for either day by Friday 6 June, you will be notified of availability (if you are a speaker on Tuesday this condition does not apply).\nThis is an in-person only event to provide a sense of safety to people attending the forum and to reduce technical disruptions.\nThe forum is free to attend. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided on both days. A separate quiet space will also be provided as an area to relax or take a break from the forum.\nMHACA will ensure that the Suicide Prevention Forum is a safe space to discuss the sensitive issue of suicide and mental health challenges. Support staff will be available throughout the forum to provide support to attendees if required.\nMHACA asks all people who attend the forum to be aware of the sensitive nature of suicide and that a range of people with different backgrounds and experiences will be present. We ask you to speak safely about suicide and be respectful to all presenters and attendees.\nThe forum is organised by the Mental Health Association of Central Australia (MHACA), with the support of the Northern Territory Government and Central Australian Aboriginal Congress.
