DESCRIPTION:This workshop covers essential knowledge for anyone who has anything to do with children and young people either indirectly or directly.\n3 hours\n \nTopics covered:\n\nRoles and responsibilities in the prevention of child abuse and neglect\nLegislative roles and responsibilities in relation to reporting child abuse and neglect (i.e. mandatory reporting)\nOrganisational/individual responsibility in responding to early indicators of harm and family support needs\nDefinitions of child abuse and neglect including recognising harm indicators and child/family risk and protective factors\nHow to respond to disclosures of child abuse and neglect\nPrevention strategies and practices.\n\nWho should attend?\n\nThis workshop covers essential knowledge for anyone who has anything to do with children and young people either indirectly or directly.\nImportant for all employees and volunteers.\n\nNote re registrations:\nIf registering other staff members, please inform them of the venue address, any parking directions, and catering details (where relevant).\nPlease let NAPCAN know if unable to attend so we can contact people on our waiting list if required.\nFor workshop that is Online: The terms and conditions of this training and certification require that all participants, including online attendees, must have their participation verifiable at all times.
