DESCRIPTION:A child safe organisation values children and young people and is committed to treating their needs and safety as the top priority. This means that everyone in the organisation takes proactive steps to prevent all forms of harm and abuse and demonstrates a commitment to children and young people’s wellbeing.\n4 hours\n \nAll children have the right to be safe and to feel safe all of the time.\nIn light of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse we know that it is critical to embed a child safe culture into every single organisation that has anything to do with children or young people, either directly or indirectly. Leaders in organisations play a critical role in developing and maintaining a culture that values children and young people and is committed to treating their needs and their safety as the top priority.\nThis session provides an overview of the 10 National Principles for Child Safe Organisations developed by the Australian Human Rights Commission. It includes steps that leaders can take to promote the safety, engagement and wellbeing of children and young people and prevent harm within their organisation. Help children to thrive by embedding a child safe culture in your organisation.\nWho should attend?\nThis workshop covers essential knowledge for anyone who has anything to do with children and young people either indirectly or directly.\nCourse Length\n3 – 4 hours\nMore reasons to attend…\nEssential information for leaders in organisations whose work concerns children or young people\nFor workshop that is Online: The terms and conditions of this training and certification require that all participants, including online attendees, must have their participation verifiable at all times. This requires that all participants keep their cameras on and remain present in front of their screen for the entire duration of the training. Participants may keep themselves muted unless requested to answer questions by the trainer to verify understanding. This may occur at any point during the training.
