Young Carers Canoe and Connect Session

Carers NT is currently seeing low identification of young carers in the Katherine region.

Many young people are providing ongoing care and support to family members without recognising themselves as carers or accessing available support.

We are hosting a free Young Carers Canoe and Connect Session for young carers aged 12–17 in Katherine. Limited spots available.

This event aims to:

• Connect with hidden young carers in the region
• Provide a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience
• Help young carers meet peers with similar experiences
• Increase awareness of available supports and services

• 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Nitmiluk National Park
• Free guided canoeing experience
• Meal provided
