Early intervention tools for working with young people

The Association of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies NT (AADANT) would like to invite you to a professional development forum in Darwin, Palmerston or Alice Springs this October.

We are pleased to welcome Sacha King from Two Two One Mental Health Charity to speak about having difficult conversations with young people. During this professional development forum, you will learn:

• • Starting meaningful conversations with young people
  • Creating safety and connection
  • Skills to engage young people
  • Tools for individual support
  • Motivational interviewing skills

Sacha is a social worker and mental health professional located in the Northern Territory with degrees in Psychology and Social Work, and has worked in the mental health and outreach space for a number of years. Sacha lives in Darwin and has a strong belief in education and training that is specifically for Territorians by Territorians, making sure people walk away with practical skills that fit our unique environment and population.

The afternoon will be a networking and sector information sharing opportunity.

AADANT Members: $70.00 GST inclusive
Non-members: $85.00 GST inclusive
